SmokeBreaker Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 23, 2026

Overview
SmokeBreaker is an augmented reality smoke-ring game. It uses the phone camera, microphone, and motion sensors to let players release and steer virtual smoke rings toward targets or through training challenges. This website also offers a limited browser demo. This policy explains what information these experiences use, what stays on the device, and what may be processed by service providers.
Camera and face tracking
SmokeBreaker uses the front camera during gameplay to detect the player's face and mouth position. This anchors virtual smoke near the mouth and detects mouth shapes for game actions. Camera frames are processed on the device. SmokeBreaker does not save photos or videos, create a face identity profile, use face tracking to identify a person, or upload camera frames to a SmokeBreaker-controlled server.
Microphone and motion sensors
The microphone estimates puff or breath intensity for gameplay. The app does not save, play back, or upload microphone recordings. Motion values, including tilt and rotation, steer smoke rings and are not uploaded to a SmokeBreaker-controlled server.
Website demo
The optional web demo requests front-camera and microphone access and, on supported mobile devices, permission to read phone orientation. Browser-side face tracking estimates mouth position and shape, microphone analysis estimates puff intensity, and orientation values steer virtual rings. This sensory processing happens locally in the browser. The website does not record or upload camera frames, microphone audio, face landmarks, or motion values.
The demo stores only the player's best web-demo score in that browser's local storage. It does not create an account or submit results to the Android leaderboard. Clearing site data removes the stored score. The browser downloads the MediaPipe tracking software and model from jsDelivr and Google-hosted storage; those providers may receive ordinary request data such as IP address, browser information, and request time, but SmokeBreaker does not send them camera or microphone content.
Local gameplay progress
The app stores gameplay progress on the device, including completed-round scores, target hits, accuracy, combos, XP, virtual trophies, level, trick progress, training clears, and puff count. Trophies are gameplay achievements with no cash value.
Anonymous identity and leaderboard
Firebase Authentication creates an anonymous player identity without an email address or password. For global competition, Cloud Firestore stores the anonymous user ID, chosen or generated player name, best completed score, accuracy and combo from that round, target totals, level, XP, trophy count, rounds played, and update time. Other authenticated players can view leaderboard names and ranked gameplay statistics. Players should not use sensitive personal information in a display name.
Advertising
The Android app uses Google Mobile Ads for banner advertising, and the website uses Google AdSense. These Google advertising services may process device and advertising identifiers, cookies or similar storage, IP address, browser or app information, page and ad interactions, diagnostics, consent choices, and approximate location inferred from network information. Google uses this information to provide and measure ads, limit repetition, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve advertising services.
The website uses Google's certified consent management platform. Where required, visitors can consent, decline consent, or manage advertising choices before personalized advertising is used. Auto ads are excluded from the web game page so they do not cover active gameplay. One responsive display ad may be requested on the completed-round results screen and is removed when active gameplay begins, subject to Google's eligibility, availability, consent, and frequency controls. Camera frames, microphone audio, face landmarks, puff measurements, and motion values are not provided to AdSense or Google Mobile Ads.

Analytics and crash diagnostics
SmokeBreaker uses Google Analytics for Firebase for basic usage analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to identify crashes, non-fatal errors, and application-not-responding events. These services may process automatically collected events, app interactions, stack traces, diagnostic logs and breadcrumbs, device and app information, operating-system information, device or app identifiers, and approximate location inferred from network information. This information is used for analytics, stability, app improvement, and fraud prevention.
SmokeBreaker does not attach camera frames, microphone recordings, face or mouth tracking values, motion sensor values, or locally stored gameplay statistics to Analytics or Crashlytics reports.
Retention and deletion
Local progress remains until the player clears app storage, uninstalls the app, or replaces the data through device transfer. Leaderboard records and anonymous identities remain in Firebase until deleted or removed under the service's retention processes. Players can delete their online profile in Player Hub > Global or request help through the privacy contact below. The web-demo best score remains until the player clears browser site data.
Children
SmokeBreaker is not intended for children under 13. The app includes advertising and camera- and microphone-based AR gameplay.
Security and changes
Camera, microphone, motion, and AR processing remain local. Leaderboard writes require an authenticated identity and are restricted by Firestore Security Rules. Google services use encrypted network connections and Google's security protections. This policy may be updated when app features or service providers change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
